Position begins 25/26 school year. Salary Schedule is based on the 2025-2026 school year.
This is a 10-month/renewable position, that includes benefits of paid medical and leave.
New hires typically begin at Step 1 on the Salary Schedule.

TITLE: Behavior/Attendance Aide, Classified, .875 FTE; 8:00AM to 3:30PM, Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day (1/2 hour unpaid lunch)
PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position will provide supervision for the “Pass Room” where students need to take a break from traditional classroom, catch up on academics, minor behavioral resets, or serve detention for consequences. Additionally, this position provides student attendance support and data collection.
RESPONSIBLE TO: High School Building Principal
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two year associates degree (AA) or No Child Left Behind (NCLB) certification as required by law for schools funded by Title I funds.
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Data entry for student discipline and attendance
- Supervise the “Pass Room”
- Monitor attendance habits of assigned students
- With a second staff member, initiate home visits for selected students
- Daily communication regarding student attendance
- Lunch detention supervisor and other supervisory responsibilities as directed
- Other related duties as assigned by building Principal
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft office and Google docs/calendars
- Ability to learn new software programs (SWIS discipline, eSchool discipline, Google docs)
- Excellent communication and writing skills a plus
- Must have ability to work with diverse student population
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Requires the use of computers and office equipment.
- Work is performed in a wide variety of locations, including office and school
- May work with high stress student, family, or personnel situations.
- Involves sitting, walking, and attendance at evening or out of district meetings.
CONDITIONS: This is a classified 10 month position.
SALARY: Will be determined by terms of the current negotiated agreement. The amount due under the contract will be pro-rated monthly in accordance with district policy.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
