Position begins as soon as possible.  Salary Schedule is based on the 2024-2025 school year.

 

This is a 10-month/renewable position with 179 day contract calendar, that includes benefits of paid medical and leave.

 

  New hires typically begin at Step 1 on the Salary Schedule and is elgible for Benefits.

 

 

Schedule: Split Shift estimated 6:30am - 8:30am AND 2:30pm - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday, plus some mid day routes (times to be determined)

 

TITLE:  School Bus Driver – Permanent Substitute Route Driver, .50 FTE (4 hours per day)

 

SUPERVISOR:  Director of Transportation

 

JOB TYPE: This is a Classified Position, 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday

 

SUMMARY: Operate school buses under all types of weather conditions to transport students and other

authorized persons as a permanent substitute driver on all “to and from” routes and on activity trips as

authorized by the school district officials.  Ensuring vehicle is in safe operating condition and ensuring

safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from the bus.  Serve as a courteous

representative of the Siuslaw School District. When not driving a route, will work as a bus monitor.

Will be determined by terms of the current negotiated agreement. The amount due under the contract will be pro-rated monthly in accordance with district policy.
